Your Experience

  • Strong academic background or demonstrable project experience focused on Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), or Artificial Intelligence.
  • Proficiency with core AI/ML libraries and languages, including Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, Scikit-Learn, and LLM integration frameworks.
  • Demonstrable experience with data preprocessing, model fine-tuning, evaluation metrics, and optimizing inference performance.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Model Development & Training

    Design, train, and fine-tune machine learning and deep learning models tailored for text classification, sentiment analysis, and pattern recognition.

  • Data Pipelines

    Build and optimize scalable data ingestion and preprocessing pipelines to clean, structure, and feed high-volume customer feedback data into models.

  • AI Integration & Evaluation

    Collaborate with product and backend teams to integrate trained models into production-ready APIs, monitoring performance and drift.

  • Research & Innovation

    Stay at the forefront of AI research, experimenting with emerging LLM capabilities and novel algorithms to continually enhance insight accuracy.

Essential Requirements

  • Location: Commutable to our Truro HQ.
  • Work Model: 100% Office-based attendance required.
  • Software: Confident with Python, ML frameworks, Git, and JIRA.
  • Right to Work: Must have the right to work in the UK.*

Day-to-Day Activities

  • Training and fine-tuning machine learning models.
  • Preprocessing and analyzing complex feedback datasets.
  • Participating in daily stand-ups and AI sprint planning.
  • Reviewing peer model logic and submitting pull requests.
  • Collaborating with engineers on production deployments.

3-Month Probation Milestone

At the end of your 3-month probation, you will deliver a technical presentation to your Engineering Lead. This presentation must outline your current performance, key AI model experimentations, code contributions, and provide your professional feedback moving forward.

Model Accuracy

Delivery of high-performing, validated, and efficient machine learning models.

Sprint Delivery

Successful and timely completion of assigned AI engineering tickets.

Pipeline Reliability

Ensuring stability, speed, and low latency for production AI inference.
